Bucking the trend: Solving data challenges in alternatives
The alternatives fund management industry is undergoing a period of rapid growth and consolidation which are bringing new challenges in fund administration. Consolidated groups may find themselves with a disparate technology stack, multiple administration service providers and a client base spread across multiple jurisdictions.
Many administration service providers have reacted to the global market in alternatives by having their own disparate network of operations – often offshoring to locations based on cost. This, however, risks replicating the same disjointed infrastructure that is already creating challenges for fund management businesses and diluting quality of service to clients.
In our latest article, Michele Deely, Head of Alternative for EMEA, explains why SEI is bucking this trend and has instead consolidated its technology and expertise into a European hub.
The result is an integrated client service model, a technology solution designed for the data challenges of alternatives and a solution that can deliver to the growing demands of investors.
