LONDON, 10 April 2025 – SEI® (NASDAQ:SEIC) today announced the appointment of Oliver Gin, CFA, as a Client Strategy Director on the UK Fiduciary Management team. Gin will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with DB pension scheme clients to help strengthen and grow SEI’s Institutional business.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the pensions industry, Gin brings substantial client relationship management, proposition development, and technical expertise to SEI. He most recently worked in the fiduciary management business at Schroders and previously worked in the investment businesses at Aon and Willis Towers Watson, formally known as Watson Wyatt.
Commenting on the appointment, Don Baines, Head of UK Fiduciary Management for SEI, said:
“Amid a challenging macroeconomic environment, DB pension schemes are facing greater market volatility, new funding challenges, and more onerous regulatory requirements. A trustee’s ability to navigate these hurdles is largely determined by their scheme’s governance model, and we remain committed to helping them realise the opportunities that are available through partnering with our fiduciary team.
“Whilst our peers have scaled back or merged their businesses, we’re focused on growth. Investing in our talent represents our continued commitment to the market and our clients, and we’re thrilled to welcome Oliver to our team. His experience in helping pension schemes achieve their investment goals will be invaluable, as we continue our mission to exceed our clients’ expectations.”
With more than 15 years of experience as a UK fiduciary manager, SEI has more than 50 clients representing pension schemes in the region as of 31 Dec. 2024.
