Richard Knott is Managing Director, US Asset Management, focusing on insurance companies and the retirement market. He joined SEI in June of 2013, after serving as the Chief Executive Officer of an alternative investments wealth management organization. Richard has had P&L oversight at three organizations that included annual revenue of over $2 billion.

Richard’s background also includes over 10 years at OppenheimerFunds Inc, in which he served as Executive Vice President, President of OppenheimerFunds Inc. In this role he served as both the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Distribution Officer. He was responsible for leading all marketing, distribution, relationship management, operations, digital strategies, product development and financial/compliance oversight. Prior to serving as President, Richard was SVP, National Sales Director responsible for overseeing all sales activities for over 350 sales personnel.

Prior to joining Oppenheimer Funds, Richard spent the previous 10 years as an executive at Prudential Financial. He served as the Director for Mutual Fund & Annuity Operations, in which he was responsible for leadership and oversight of all operational functions and call center functions for Prudential Financial.

Richard holds a degree in Accounting from Temple University and an executive MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He currently holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses with FINRA.
