OAKS, Pa., Dec. 10, 2018 – SEI (NASDAQ:SEIC) today announced that Strategic Global Advisors, LLC (SGA) has selected SEI’s IT hosting solution and suite of managed services to bolster its IT infrastructure and data processing capabilities for its growing asset management business. SEI’s IT hosting platform further leverages its existing, state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and cloud-based technology, enabling investment managers to more effectively address the increasing requirements and demands placed on their existing technology.
SGA, which operates as an independent, employee-owned firm and specializes in the management of international, global and U.S. equity strategies, already uses SEI for mutual fund, collective investment trust, and separately managed account services. SEI’s IT hosting solution complements the company’s Investment Manager Services (IMS) operating platform by providing IT infrastructure, technology and technical expertise to asset manager clients globally. The solution offers a broad array of services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS); backup/restore, disaster recovery; and information/cyber security services. It also comprises a range of managed services that include database administration, managed firewall services, application support, and end-user services.
“I am excited to bring this opportunity to market and honored that SGA is expanding their relationship with SEI to implement the solution,” said John Alshefski, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of SEI’s Investment Manager Services division. “We are enthusiastic about bringing this platform to the financial services industry, as it combines our technology infrastructure capabilities with our extensive expertise in building operational platforms. This solution is a natural extension of our existing operational platform and comprehensive solutions for investment managers, and it has applicability across all of SEI’s business units and markets.”
“Trusting SEI with our technology hosting and managed services allows us to focus on investing, business growth and client service,” said Cynthia Tusan, President of Strategic Global Advisors. “Upgrading our IT infrastructure by plugging into SEI’s established IT platform and gaining access to their team of experienced experts, will allow us to continue to provide superior asset management solutions and high-quality service to our valued clients.”
