Where technology and investments intersect

Fueled by change

Fear of failure squashes an innovative culture

Invention is what helps us design leading-edge solutions for the markets we serve. Regardless of whether we’re together in an office or collaborating virtually across the globe, our employees share a core motivation.

We challenge the status quo.
We think ahead.
We embrace transformation.
We surround ourselves with art to inspire us to think differently.

For more than 50 years, investment advisory firms, banks, wealth and investment managers, institutions and individual investors have trusted us to help them meet the challenges of building and managing wealth. It’s one thing to help someone achieve success. It’s quite another to make it last. And we’re fortunate to help our workforce and clients do both.

We’re an outsourcer and a pioneer, delivering platform-based solutions and financial technologies across front, middle and back offices.

Innovation has been our hallmark since 1972, when we developed the industry’s first trust and estate real-time accounting system. Our approach expanded and modernized over the decades to support the processing and infrastructure needs of wealth managers and financial advisors—both large and small, here and abroad.

We’ve transformed the way individuals view investing with groundbreaking research on asset allocation, the introduction of goals-based investing, and the launch of outsourced investment management.

And we address clients’ needs, helping to generate meaningful business efficiencies by creating new categories of end-to-end outsourcing solutions.

Powered by purpose

Our dynamic workforce is key to driving our success and making an impact.

Each of us brings our own distinct skills, strengths, experiences and backgrounds—all of which contribute to our individual and collective growth. We encourage employees to act on their passions because we recognize that a commitment to philanthropy strengthens our business and our communities. We also believe our business should be conducted in a manner that achieves sustainable growth and demonstrates a commitment to corporate social responsibility.

We’re committed to developing diverse talent.

Our Neurodiversity@Work program provides opportunities for differently abled individuals, who have helped us become better managers and communicators. And through SEI Salutes, we purposefully recruit veterans, helping them and their families transition into civilian life through our Battle Buddies program.

We’re closing the gap.

"Get. Grow. Keep.” That's what we call our global initiative to improve how we attract, develop and retain our female employees across the globe.

We’re putting passion into action.

In addition to direct corporate giving, SEI Cares, our employee-led 501(c)(3), donated more than $500,000 in grants to various organizations in 2019. This support energized various organizations in the global communities where our employees live and work. We’re proud that along with financial contributions, our employees donated 8,500 hours of service in 2019 to volunteer activities around the globe.

Our employee-led affinity groups channel our passion and encourage us to put our caring into action.

Driven by solving problems

Our solutions address three critical client needs:
technology, asset management and operations.

The heartbeat of our business: financial technology.

From the front to back office, we’ve developed end-to-end platforms for wealth and investment management, delivered as flexible outsourced infrastructure solutions that include processing, network and cybersecurity services. Our continual investments in research and development further enhance these business solutions.

Asset managment

Helping investors achieve their lifelong goals and make sound investment decisions.

We offer goals-based advice, customized wealth management solutions, and outsourced investment management programs that are constructed to help clients achieve personal, business and investment objectives.

Transforming our clients’ operational infrastructure into a competitive advantage.

By assuming full responsibility for back- and middle-office operations, we relieve clients of the day-to-day responsibilities that can be a drag on their productivity, allowing them to devote more time to growing their businesses and engaging with their clients.

We serve wealth and investment managers and investors

Wealth and investment managers

We provide banks and wealth management firms with more than a technology conversion: We offer a fully integrated advisor and client experience that supports front-, middle- and back-office services—all within a single infrastructure.

We give financial advisors the freedom to focus on their clients by providing a flexible business operating platform, offering customized investment solutions and delivering practice management expertise.

We’ve spent decades helping alternative and traditional investment managers elevate their infrastructure to create better client experiences. Our robust global operating platform—designed to support all major asset classes and investment vehicles, across diverse strategies and jurisdictions—can be a powerful catalyst for operational efficiency.

We provide a comprehensive suite of proprietary software and service solutions that help simplify the operations of family offices and financial institutions. From in-house private wealth management software to high-touch outsourced consolidated reporting and bill pay services, our solutions help private wealth management firms better serve their ultra-high-net-worth clients.

We personalize the client experience to help institutional investors gain efficiencies without giving up control. From outsourced investment management to enhanced technology solutions, we keep our clients involved every step of the way. It’s not a hand-off, it’s a relationship.

For several decades, we have helped affluent individuals and families address every facet of personal wealth management. And because everyone’s goals are different, we’ve developed a distinctive discovery process unlike any other to help our clients identify, articulate and prioritize their goals.

Connecting technology and investments

Embracing transformation and disruption is what helps us develop leading-edge solutions.

We deliver capabilities across the spectrum of wealth and investment management processes globally, and we are distinctly positioned in the financial services ecosystem to address the increasingly converging needs of wealth managers, financial advisors, asset managers and investors.

Focused on One SEISM

What if we could solve a client problem differently?

As our clients’ needs continue to converge, we’ve challenged ourselves: What if we opened up all of our assets for use in all of our markets?

One SEI is a strategic shift in our mindset that reminds us to view our clients’ needs through a holistic lens.

Rather than helping a client solve for one piece of the puzzle, we take a broader view of their needs and then look across our company to help them address multiple challenges. We have done this throughout our history.

By unleashing all of the assets we can bring to bear in all of our markets, One SEI is designed to unlock new possibilities and capabilities that can be delivered in new bundled solutions. It also opens the door to broader competitive markets, allowing us to serve larger and complex clients.
