We, collectively, must stand together to fight systemic racism and social injustice. Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Breonna Taylor are among others whose lives have tragically ended or been mistreated because of their race. Racism has no place in society.
We, at SEI, have always prided ourselves on the strengths of our inclusive culture. We value all of our teammates and their significant contributions that come from diverse backgrounds, experiences and ideas. The spirit of community brings people together to celebrate the attributes that make us unique. Diversity of thought, experiences and ideas drives boundless opportunities—not just for our businesses, but to close the gaps in our minds where inequality and injustice can live.
We’re continuing to look inward to make positive changes against prejudice on personal attributes, such as race, gender, religion, disability and sexuality. We’re grateful for our SEI Diversity group, who is working with employees to identify ways we can contribute to and support diversity efforts in our global communities. We are committed to utilizing the strength of our diverse global workforce to help us reach our full potential to serve the communities in which we work and live.
Many of us cannot fathom the weight of these tragedies carried by so many. It is time to listen and practice empathy, not judgement. To all those fighting for your voices to be heard: We are listening. We are learning. And we will strive to be a force for change.
